Troops in Uganda arrest students after rebel raid

Ugandan troops entered the campus of Makerere University in Kampala and arrested 40 students in a swoop on suspected dissidents, the day after a guerrilla attack on the city, residents of the Ugandan capital reported.

The residents said the arrested students were taken to unknown destinations, apparently for interrogation. There was no word on legal charges against them.
