Sharper, more colorful TV ahead -- at a 'high' price
New York — A new ''high definition'' video system was unveiled by CBS and the NHK Japan Broadcasting Company. A spokesman said the new system, which has a wider, sharper, more colorful picture than the average TV set, would ''be to color as color was to black and white.''
But don't rush out to place your order. The new receivers, with stereophonic sound, will initially to be priced ''quite high,'' and won't be on the retail market until 1986 or '87.
