British rails halted again as union pushes demands

Britain's 20,000 locomotive engineers shut down the national rail network Wednesday for the third time in eight days and said the strikes would go on until their wage demands were met.

As millions of commuters struggled to work by alternative means of transportation, the engineers' union announced plans for a two-day walkout next week and a continued ban on Sunday working and overtime.
