Uganda says it will grant amnesty to 150 prisoners

More than 150 people are to be freed from Ugandan jails in the second round of an amnesty granted by President Milton Obote, Radio Uganda reported.

The announcement coincided with a visit to Uganda by an Amnesty International team checking on alleged human rights violations by the Obote government.
