President Reagan says that the recent antinuclear demonstrations in Western Europe were sponsored by an organization ''bought and paid for by the Soviet Union.'' No doubt the Russians had their oar in. But most who marched are as hostile to communism as the President, and as concerned about averting war.

Why let the Kremlin take credit for a movement for peace - something which every man and woman of conscience cherishes?
