Soviet activist is reported held in tight confinement

Human rights activist Yuri Orlov is being held in a cell 4 feet by 10 feet after being sentenced to six months in labor camp for taking part in a prisoners' strike, his wife, Irina Orlova, says.

Until his arrest Mr. Orlov was chairman of the Moscow branch of the Helsinki human rights monitoring group.
