Geneva arms negotiators begin timeout for holidays

Geneva

US and Soviet arms negotiators started a holiday break from talks on limiting nuclear weapons in Europe. They will meet again early next year. Both sides agreed at the start of the talks to maintain a total news blackout on the negotiations. There has been no hint of progress in the three weeks of talks.
