US blames Soviet Union for some forged papers

The US State Department has blamed the Soviet Union for some of the forged US government papers and documents that have surfaced in various countries around the world. Officials said the fakes were apparently intended to discredit US foreign policy. Among the ''disinformation'' collected by Washington were forged war plans that turned up in several European cities which showed the United States planning to attack targets in Norway with nuclear bombs if a European war should break out.
