Quick comments

It's good to hear about the Reagan administration asking lobbyists to cool it on threats to retaliate against congressmen who don't toe the Reagan line. Political good sportsmanship would be in keeping with the President's new-conference reply to a question on conservative fund-raising groups already targeting liberals for defeat next year:

"I think one of the things that does not set too well with me is that to campaign before there is a candidate on your side means that you're campaigning totally in a negative way. And I've always believed that you campaign by stressing what it is you r candidate would do and that you approve of it."
