Penalty for Unser gives Indy 500 win to Andretti

The United States Auto Club reversed its decision, and made Mario Andretti winner of the 1981 Indianapolis 500. The official posting on the USAC office dropped Bobby Unser to second place, with a one-lap penalty for passing under a yellow caution light. The reversal came after a number of drivers complained they saw Unser commit the infraction on the 149 th lap of the race.
