Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.

* The perennial controversy about waiving of military service has popped up again. A court rejection of a would-be conscientious objector on novel grounds has roused some indignation. The grounds: The applicant refused to give up his driver's license, but he might kill someone in a car accident. Therefore he is not really a convinced pacifist.
