Japan plans moves to boost economy

Japan said it plans to announce measures next week aimed at boosting its economy, and they are expected to include spending on public works, increased housing loans, and a drive to export more industrial equipment. Interest rates may also be brought down to encourage small-and middle-sized compan ies, a sector which has been hit by bankruptcies.
