Air fares due to go up because of oil decontrol

Air travelers will face higher ticket prices -- up to a 3.8 percent increase -- to cover an anticipated jump in aviation fuel costs. The Civil Aeronautics Board has approved an immediate, though temporary, price hike in response to President Reagan's decision to decontrol oil prices last week. The board said it will review the situation at the end of the month.
