Economist who served Nixon to head panel

President Reagan will name Murray L. Weidenbaum, an expert on business deregulation who served in the Nixon administration, as chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers, a White House official said. Mr. Weidenbaum, a professor at Washington University in St. Louis, headed Mr. Reagan's transiti on team on regulatory issues.
