Senate Panel faces choice over Haig: sue or quit

The Senate Foreign Relations Committee, rebuffed in its bid for logs of Alexander Haig's taped watergate-era discussions, apparently must go to court or drop its probe of the secretary of state-designate. The National Archives upheld former President Nixon's refusal to release details of White Ho use tapes sought in the Senate investigation.
