Japan to fund 5 centers for Asian development

Japanese Prime Minister Zenko Suzuki said that Japan would set up a $100 million fund for development centers in five Asian capitals to specialize in energy technology, agriculture, and small industries. The Philippines News Agency said he made the commitment in a meeting with President Ferdinand Marcos at the start of a 12-day tour of the five members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
