Iran, whose oil minister is an Iraqi prisoner of war, will not attend next month's OPEC ministerial meeting in Bali, said Oil Minister Subroto of Indonesia , who recently toured the Gulf states to discuss preparations for the Dec. 15 meeting. His remarks indicated that Indonesia expects the OPEC price-setting session to go ahead as planned despite the Iraq-Iran war. The United Arab Emirates has said it wanted the meeting postponed if the war continued. Oil industry analysts said that if the meeting fails to take place or to reach a pricing agreement, an uncontrolled bout of oil price leapfrogging may result.
