Salvadoran leftists free a hostage at OAS office

Members of the Democratic Revolutionary Front occupying offices of the Organization of American States released one of their 11 hostages. About 25 members of the umbrella organization coordinating leftist opposition to El Salvador's ruling junta seized the OAS offices Sept. 17, demanding freedom for political prisoners, the lifting of a state of siege imposed in March, and the end of alleged repression by the armed forces.
