Today, (Oh, givingm world, and I, An eager taker,) Was given me to see -- Bound by a spider thread To twig, leaf-canopied, A halved cocoon, Quilted with down of plant, Bud-scale, embroidered; Sheltering, (Smaller than the smallest peas) TWo eggs; Above them whipping air To bluest froth, Red neon-feathered boa Round its throat, A hummingbird.
