Single-family-home sales went down 21% in April

Sales of new single-family homes plunged 21 percent in April, equaling the largest drop in 17 years of record-keeping, the government said monday. Sales of new one-family houses slumped to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 364,000 houses in April.
