Franklinton, La.

Continuing floods from the Bogue Chitto and Pearl Rivers, the worst in a century, have forced more than 600 residents from their homes in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. National Guardsmen Monday patrolled in canoes for looters and poisonous snakes.
