US share of advances in technology falls off

The American share of worldwide scientific and technological advances is expected to decline in the 1980s, continuing a trend seen over the last decade, according to a study, conducted by the Conference Board, a business research organization, estimates the US share of all world science and technology has fallen to less than 25 percent from about 33 percent in 1967.
