Australia quits selling key mineral to Soviets

Prime Minister Malcolm Fraser said Monday that Australia has suspended the sale of rutile, a strategic mineral used in the manufacture of missiles, to the Soviet Union. Mr. Fraser disclosed the move before flying from Melbourne to discuss the Soviet military intervention in Afghanistan with heads of government in Washington, London, Paris, and Bonn.
